How to create a Transfix account and get approved to book loads

Summary

User Requirements:

  • A copy of your certificate of insurance

  • Any VIN insurance cards or additional certificate sheets with listed Vehicle Insurance Numbers covered

  • Your W-9

  • MC Operating Authority Certificate

Creating a Transfix Account

  1. Visit https://apps.transfix.io/fms/new-onboarding to create a new Transfix account.

  2. Enter your email address and hit "Sign Up as a Carrier"

  3. Visit your email inbox to verify your email address, there will be an email with subject line: "Please Confirm Your Email Address..."

    1. If you do not receive an email within a few minutes, a few things could have happened:

      1. The email is in your spam folder

      2. There is a typo in your email address

      3. We can't deliver to this address (usually because of corporate firewalls or filtering)

      4. If none of these help, please contact us at carrier-app-support@transfix.io

  4. After verifying your email through the link sent to your inbox, you will be taken back to the Transfix platform to enter your information:

5. Next, add your DOT number and click "Find Carrier".

6. When you see your carrier, hit "Finish Setup"

** If you get a message that looks like this:

This means that you need permission to book loads for this carrier. If you are the first person to sign this carrier up for Transfix, you will need permission from the FMCSA contact. If there are already designated admins on the carrier, you will need permission from one of those admins. Once you hit "Finish Setup", an email will be sent to the admins (or FMCSA contact) with a request to add you. Once they approve, you will receive an email that you now have access to the Transfix platform for that carrier.

To find out who will be receiving the email, click on "Who are the admins?"**

Get Your Carrier Approved to Book Transfix Loads

After you have setup your account, you can now get your carrier approved to book Transfix loads.

Navigate to your "Home" page and click "Get Started" at the top of the page

Step 1: Verify Company Info, enter your entity type and EIN and then review your company information. If all looks correct, click "yes, continue". If not, please contact us at compliance@transfix.io.

Step 2: Read and sign our Broker Carrier Agreement. Be sure to sign your full legal name to avoid issues later on. Then click "Sign and Continue".

Step 3: Provide your Insurance Information and upload your COI.

If you see insurance information pre-populated here, please review it and hit "continue"

Step 4: Upload your W-9 and Operating Authority Certificate (you can also skip this and send later). Once uploaded, hit "Submit and Continue"

You've now completed the process to get your carrier approved to book Transfix loads. Your application is now being reviewed by Transfix and we will get back to you shortly.

The top bar on your homepage will display the status of your application:

  1. Incomplete: Application partially completed.

  2. Application submitted, waiting on Highway response

  3. Needs review, waiting on Compliance review

  4. Recently Activated:

  5. Failed Review/ Probation/ DNU
