This guide shows a step-by-step process to set up live tracking for your Transfix loads. You can choose from one of the following tracking methods (click each for instructions):

Once you're set up with one of these methods - see this article on how to choose your tracking method on your load.

Transfix Mobile App (Preferred)

Transfix Mobile App

  1. Your driver needs to download the Transfix mobile app:

  2. Driver logs in to the app using their phone number. A verification code will be texted to them. **Make sure it is the phone number associated with this driver in your account. For instructions on changing/adding a phone number click here.

3. If this is the driver's first time logging into the app, they will need to update their location settings. Transfix only uses their location while they are running Transfix freight.

  1. First, click “Open Location Settings”. This will bring up a prompt from your phone’s operating system to enable location sharing.

  2. Next, click “Enable” on the prompt to allow access to your background location.

  3. Next, click “Allow While Using App” on the prompt asking for permission to use your location.

  4. Finally, select “Change to Always Allow” on the prompt requesting your location while you are not using the app.

4. If the driver has previously used the Transfix app for tracking, please ask them to verify their location settings:

  1. First, navigate to their phone’s settings page for the Transfix App

  2. Next, make sure their location settings are set to “Always Allow” and Precise Location is enabled

Once they are set up with location settings, they're good to go! Please let us know if you have any questions at carriersuccess@transfix.io.

Project44

Project44 connects directly with your ELD to provide live tracking updates. This is a good option if your driver is unable to download the Transfix app, or will be out of service for long periods of time.

If you already have a Project44 account: please email carriersuccess@transfix.io and let them know. They will connect your P44 account to Transfix.

Once connected, you will need to input the truck number carrying your load. You can do this from the ratecon, or from the Transfix carrier app; by going to the "My Loads" page, clicking on your load, and then clicking into "Truck".

If you do not have a project44 account, you can sign up for one here: https://na12.voc.project44.com/portal/v2/public/connect/transfix

3. Follow the steps to enter your information and create your account.

3. Once logged in to Project44, you will be prompted to add your ELD provider and credentials, once you do this, any trucks that are connected with that ELD will be displayed as well. If you need to add more trucks to your account, please contact support@project44.com. Once this is complete, you are ready to track!

For more details on this process, please watch the video below:

Once you've setup your account, all you need to do is add a truck number on any load you're running. You can do this when signing your ratecon, or from the Transfix Carrier App, by clicking into My Loads, clicking on your load, and clicking on "Truck"

Please let us know if you have any questions at carriersuccess@transfix.io.

Motive/Keep Truckin

To add your Keep Trucking ELD:

1. Navigate to your "Settings" page

2. Click "ELD Integrations", and then "Connect ELD" next to the carrier you would like to connect.

3. You will arrive on this screen, click "continue"

4. If you are not logged into your Keep Truckin account, you will be prompted to login. Once logged in, you will be directed to a page that looks like this, click "Install"

5. Final Step! Select all of the trucks you would like to track and click "Finalize Import"

6. Your Keep Truckin account is now integrated with your Transfix account. Whenever you book a load in the future, Keep Truckin will be the default tracking type. If you would like to change this, please contact us at carrier-app-support@transfix.io.
