Transfix TrueRate+ (TTR+) has been made available as a new way to request coverage in the Shipper App. Once activated in your account, TTR+ will be applied to all shipments tendered to Transfix on a given lane using the new TTR+ model.

How does it work?

When you tender a shipment via Transfix TrueRate+, we provide an estimate of the Market Rate for your shipment and then work towards securing an even lower price for you.

When we’re able to provide a better rate than our original estimate, 30% of the savings is added to our Service Fee. But if our rate exceeds the original estimate, we absorb 70% of the overage by deducting it from our Service Fee.

How are shipments assigned?

When creating a shipment, select "Book with Transfix TrueRate+":

In a few minutes, you'll receive an email letting you know that the initial estimates for your shipment are available. Click on "View Shipment" to access the shipment details:

Click "Transfix TrueRate+ Details" to view the progress of TTR+ shipments along with your estimated Market Rate and estimated Service Fee Amount. The Actual Carrier Rate will be posted once coverage is secured and the final Service Fee will be calculated based on the Actual Carrier Rate:

Click "Carrier Options" to view the rates that Transfix selected your Actual Carrier Rate from:

When your shipment is delivered and invoiced, your Service Fee Amount will be updated and your Actual Total will be available.

How is my Service Fee Amount calculated?

If we’re able to beat the estimated Market Rate, 30% of the savings is added to our Service Fee Amount (30% of the difference between Estimated Market Rate and Actual Rate).

Conversely, If we fail to beat the estimated Market Rate we will deduct 70% of the overage from our Service Fee Amount (70% of the difference between Estimated Market Rate and Actual Rate).

How do I know which of my shipments are covered by Transfix TrueRate+ ?

Once you activate Transfix TrueRate+ for a lane, all shipments tendered to Transfix on that lane will be covered by TransfixTrueRate+. Your TransfixTrueRate+ shipments will be displayed on the Reports page of the Shipper App.

On your Shipments page, your TransfixTrueRate+ shipments can also be identified by the TTR+ logo next to the Shipment ID/PO information:
