How Much Is My LTL Shipment Insured For?

In the event of damage or loss of cargo, the insurance coverage provided for your LTL shipment will be determined by the policy of the carrier. Please see below for an overview of our carriers’ policies.

Saia:

Saia provides coverage at $5 per lb up to $50,000. For more information including how to obtain full value coverage, please review the Saia tariff.

Forward Air:

Forward Air provides coverage at $0.50 per lb. For more information including how to obtain full value coverage, please review the Forward Air tariff.

Estes:

Depending on the freight class of the shipment, Estes provides coverage from $2 to $10 per lb, up to $50,000. For more information including how to obtain full value coverage, please review the Estes tariff.

Ward:

Depending on the freight class of the shipment, Ward provides coverage from $1 to $10 per lb. For more information including how to obtain full value coverage, please review the Ward tariff.

Yellow/YRC:

Depending on the freight class of the shipment, Yellow/YRC provides coverage from $2 to $10 per lb. For more information including how to obtain full value coverage, please review the Yellow/YRC tariff.

Old Dominion:

Depending on the freight class of the shipment, Old Dominion provides coverage from $0.10 to $2 per lb. For more information including how to obtain full value coverage, please review the Old Dominion tariff.

Roadrunner:

Depending on the freight class of the shipment, Roadrunner provides coverage from $1 to $10 per lb. For more information including how to obtain full value coverage, please review the Roadrunner tariff.
