How to Edit an Existing Shipment

The method to edit a shipment depends on the status of the shipment.

  • To edit a shipment that you have not requested coverage for yet, you can click on that shipment and continue editing or entering any data. (These shipments will be stored in the "Planning" tab).

  • To edit a shipment that you have requested coverage for, edit by clicking the "Edit Shipment" button in the top righthand corner.

While coverage is being requested, but has not yet been accepted by a carrier, you can edit the shipment, but cannot edit the locations, appointments and equipment types, until it has been accepted by a carrier. If you need to change these things before it is accepted, you can cancel the shipment and create a copy with the correct details.

Users that are listed as Admin on your Settings page are able to make additional edits that are not available to users listed as Employee:

Admins have the ability to make the following edits to shipments with a status of Action Needed or Outstanding Invoice:

  • Updates to the PO and BOL.

  • Quantity, weight and description of items shipped.

  • Shipment coordinator.

Admins also have the ability to make edits to all shipment details (except accessorials and rates) to shipments with a status of Ready to Pay or Archived.
