Driver Led Status Updates

Drivers can update you on the status of their load from their cell phone with just the click of a button. No app required.

Note: If your driver is carrying a Transfix load, they must be live tracking but can provide manual status updates as well. The updates they provide will be shared directly with Transfix.

For more details, click on the load and then on "Activity" to see all updates to that load.

Additionally, you will receive an email notification when your driver marks that they have arrived or departed each pickup and drop off.

How does it work?

In the Carrier App, when you update the status of your load to “Dispatched” or any other state that reflects your load is in progress (At Pickup, Loading, In Transit, At Drop off, Unloading), you can begin driver status updates. Your driver will be sent text messages with links to check-in at each key step of the load. Each status change will trigger the next appropriate check-in step.

Via the text messaged links, drivers can notify you that they are: at the pick up, in transit, at the drop off and have delivered the load. These updates function for multi-stop loads as well.

What your Driver Sees:

Reminder Messages

Your driver will receive a reminder text to check-in when their appointment time is 30 minutes away. Or, if it is an appointment window, they will receive the message halfway between the window’s start and end time. Drivers will also receive reminders to check-out when they depart from a stop.

Enabling Driver Status Updates

The first time you assign a driver to a load, you will be asked if you would like to enable driver status updates, if you choose to, this particular driver will be opted-in to send updates on all of their future loads, until you opt them out. If you choose not to opt in your driver, you can always enable updates at a later time.
